Product Limited Warranty and Disclaimer

This product limited warranty applies to all MultiTech catalogue products (“Product(s)”). Your acceptance of Products purchased from MultiTech constitutes acceptance of MultiTech’s product limited warranty as described below.

Product Limited Warranty
MultiTech warrants its Products will (a) perform in accordance with published specifications, and (b) be free from defects in materials or workmanship for two years from the date of delivery.

Limited warranty does not include batteries provided in product(s) or replacement batteries sold by MultiTech or other third-party.

In the case of the following select FaxFinder Products only, the warranty is five years following delivery: FF240.R2, FF240.R2-AR, FF440.R2, FF440.R2-AR, FF840.R2, FF840.R2-AR, FF240-IP-2.R2, FF240-IP-2.R2-AR, FFEX8.R2, FFEX8.R2-AR, FFEX16.R2, and FFEX16.R2-AR.

Accessories for MultiTech Products carry a 90-day warranty.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER PRODUCT DAMAGE WHICH RESULTS FROM (A) ACCIDENT, MISUSE, ABUSE, IMPROPER LINE VOLTAGE, FIRE, FLOOD, LIGHTNING OR OTHER ACTS OF GOD; (B) DAMAGE RESULTING FROM ANY MODIFICATIONS, REPAIRS OR ALTERATIONS PERFORMED OTHER THAN BY MULTITECH OR MULTITECH’S AUTHORIZED AGENT OR RESULTING FROM FAILURE TO STRICTLY COMPLY WITH MULTITECH’S WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS; OR (C) USE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIRD PARTY PRODUCT(S) NOT APPROVED IN ADVANCE BY MULTITECH. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER SOFTWARE EMBEDDED IN THE PRODUCT. (REFER TO THE SOFTWARE LICENSE FOR DETAILS.)

MULTITECH DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE TRANSMISSION OF DATA BY A PRODUCT OVER A THIRD PARTY COMMUNICATION NETWORK WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE, NOR DOES MULTITECH WARRANT ANY CONNECTION OR ACCESSABILITY TO ANY THIRD PARTY COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK.

EXCEPT FOR THE PRODUCT LIMITED WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE, MULTITECH MAKES NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCTS, INCLUDING ANY (A) WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, (B) WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR (C) WARANTY AGAINST INFRINGEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF A THIRD PARTY WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW, COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE OR OTHERWISE, ALL OF WHICH ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED.

In the event a Product does not meet this limited warranty, MultiTech’s sole obligation will be, at its election, to repair or replace the Product or to refund the purchase price. The repaired or replaced Product will be covered through the end of the original warranty period. No repair or replacement will extend the warranty term of the original Product.

Technical Support
MultiTech does not offer on-site service to repair or replace any defective Products, or to resolve problems relating to the installation of repaired or replaced Products. MultiTech provides on-line support and troubleshooting through Technical Support.

Return Procedures
In the event that factory service is required, Products must be shipped, freight prepaid, to our Mounds View, Minnesota factory:

A Return Materials Authorization (RMA) is required for repairs and replacements. To request an RMA, a ticket must be created on our Support Portal; https://support.multitech.com/support/login.html. When prompted to create a User Account, you will need to provide a contact name, email address, direct telephone number, and return shipping address (i.e., the shipping address must be a street address, not a P.O. Box). When creating a new case, you will be prompted to provide device details and problem description.

Recommended international shipment methods are via Federal Express, UPS or DHL courier services, or by US airmail parcel post and must be shipped prepaid. All other shipment methods will be refused.

MultiTech will use commercially reasonable efforts to either repair or replace defective Products within ten (10) business days.

If the Product is under warranty and found by MultiTech to be defective, MultiTech will pay the (a) return ground shipping charges for customers located in the United States and Canada, or (b) international air economy charges for customers based from other destinations.

If the Product is out of warranty or MultiTech finds no problem, Customer will pay the return shipment costs. Any other shipping charges are your responsibility. Acceptable means of payment include credit card, wire transfer or a check in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank.

Out of warranty repairs are available in many cases. Out of warranty FaxFinder Products will no longer be repaired. Abandoned Products will be disposed of after 90 days at the sole discretion of MultiTech.

Out of warranty repairs, and repairs for damages caused by lightning storms, water, power surges, incorrect installation, physical abuse, or user-caused damages are billed on a time and materials basis.
