WriteProperty / ReadProperty

ReadProperty and WriteProperty are fundamental BACnet services used by building controllers and management systems to access and interact with BACnet objects. ReadProperty allows systems to retrieve current values, status, and configuration details from devices, while WriteProperty enables authorized commands or setpoints to be sent to control points.

MultiTech enables these core services to be used seamlessly with wireless IoT data by exposing LoRaWAN® sensor measurements as standard BACnet objects and properties.

Through MultiTech gateways, building controllers can read sensor values using familiar ReadProperty requests and, where appropriate, apply control logic or acknowledgments without custom integration. This standards-based interaction ensures IoT-sourced data integrates cleanly into existing BACnet workflows, supporting predictable operation and simplifying system integration for partners.
