Mapping (BACnet Mapping)

Mapping (BACnet Mapping) is the process of assigning data from external sources—such as IoT sensors—to appropriate BACnet objects, properties, units, and data types so the information appears native within a building management system.

Effective mapping ensures that sensor data is correctly interpreted, displayed, trended, and used in automation logic alongside existing BACnet points.
